Vaikunta Ekadasi in Tirumala

Tirumala Tirupati Vaikunta Ekadasi ( 21st Dec) will be celebrated in a grand. Devotees will have access toVaikunta Dwaram.Vaikunta Dwaram which remains closed for whole the year, will be opened on this auspicious day. Belief isthat devotees who takes darshan on this day and pass thru the door will have Vaikuntam Entrance after life.Vaikuntam is the abode of the Lord Maha Vishnu.Vaikunta Ekadasi is also called as Putrada Ekadasi. As said in Puranas, one who does fasting on this day is the begetter of offspring.

Shuddha Ekadashi in Dhanurmasa is called Vaikunta Ekadashi at Tirumala. In the early
hours of this day, the Vikunta Dwaram (door) will be opened and again closed in the early
hours of the next day, i.e. Vikunta Dvadashi.Vaikunta Dwaram will not be opened in the whole year except on this auspicious day. Sothere will be huge rush observed on this day due to its importance.It is believed that those who will have Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam will get Moksham. Vaikunta Dwaram is believed to be ‘Gate of Heaven’

Vaikunta Ekadasi Darshan
1.  No reference letters will be entertained, which means Break Darshan for recommendation letters will
not be available.
2. Sarva darshan usually starts by 5 am.
3. No privileged darshan, including parents with infants, defence, physically challenged and Senior Citizens,
NRIs, donors. Supadam entrance will be closed.
4. No advance booking of accommodation.
